Halomi Platform Community Guidelines

These Community Guidelines (“Guidelines”) outline the expectations for user behavior on the Halomi platform (“Platform”), operated by GID TECHNOLOGY CO.,LIMITED. (“we,” “us,” “our”). By using the Platform, you agree to comply with these Guidelines, which are designed to foster a safe, respectful, and legally compliant community for all users.

2. Purpose of These Guidelines

These Guidelines serve to:

  • Promote a respectful and inclusive environment for all users.
  • Ensure compliance with Lao laws, including but not limited to the Lao Penal Code, Cybersecurity Law, and relevant regulations concerning content moderation and data security.
  • Protect users, minors, and third parties from harmful or illegal content.

3. General Conduct

Users must:

  • Act respectfully toward others, regardless of their background, religion, gender, ethnicity, or political beliefs.
  • Comply with all applicable Lao laws and regulations, including the Lao Penal Code, Cybersecurity Law, and Child Protection Law.
  • Not engage in any activity that violates the rights or safety of others.

4. Prohibited Content and Behavior

The following content and behaviors are strictly prohibited on the Platform:

4.1. Violence and Threats
Any content that incites or glorifies violence, terrorism, or criminal activity.
Threats of harm or harassment towards individuals or groups.
4.2. Hate Speech and Discrimination
Content that promotes hatred or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or political views.
4.3. Sexually Explicit Content
Pornographic or sexually explicit content, including any depiction of sexual acts, nudity intended to arouse, or content involving minors (strictly prohibited per Lao Penal Code, Articles 116–122, and the Child Protection Law).
4.4. Illegal or Criminal Activities
Promotion or discussion of illegal activities, including but not limited to:
  • Human trafficking, drug use, and weapons distribution.
  • Fraud, scams, or deceptive practices.
  • Any content that encourages or facilitates the commission of a crime.
4.5. Misinformation and Defamation
Dissemination of false or misleading information that may harm individuals, the community, or public order (per Lao Cybersecurity Law).
Defamatory statements targeting individuals, groups, or organizations.
4.6. Intellectual Property Infringement
Uploading or sharing content that infringes on copyright, trademarks, patents, or other intellectual property rights without proper authorization (per Lao Intellectual Property Law).
4.7. Spam and Malicious Content
Repeated posting of identical or similar content (spam).
Malicious software, viruses, or any other content intended to harm the Platform or its users.

5. Protection of Minors

  • Users under the age of 13 are not permitted to create an account or use the Platform.
  • Users aged 13–18 must obtain parental consent and supervision to use the Platform (per Lao Child Protection Law, Article 14).
  • Content involving minors must comply with all relevant child protection regulations, including strict prohibitions on exploitation, abuse, or any form of endangerment.

6. Content Moderation and Enforcement

  • We reserve the right to remove, block, or restrict any content that violates these Guidelines or Lao laws.
  • Users who violate these Guidelines may receive warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans, depending on the severity of the violation.
  • In cases of potential criminal activity, we may report users to relevant Lao authorities in accordance with the Lao Cybersecurity Law.

7. Reporting Violations

If you encounter content that violates these Guidelines, please report it to us at market@halomi.la. We will review all reports and take appropriate action in a timely manner.

8. Appeal Process

If your content is removed or your account is suspended, you may submit an appeal within 7 business days by contacting us at market@halomi.la.
We will review your appeal within 15 business days and notify you of our decision.

9. Updates to These Guidelines

We may update these Guidelines from time to time to reflect changes in our policies, technology, or applicable Lao laws. We will notify users of significant changes by posting an updated version on our website.

10. Legal Compliance

These Guidelines are governed by the laws of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic. By using the Platform, you agree to comply with these laws at all times.
